Mellissa Linton-Villafranco
Dr. Linton is an Assistant Professor of Women and Gender Studies in the School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University.
Her first book, El Salvador Reborn: Abortion, Environment and the Politics of Survival in a Postwar Nation, is available through the University of Arizona Press.
She earned her Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego and her B.A. in English Literature and American Studies & Ethnicity from the University of Southern California.
At ASU, she coordinates the Undergraduate LGBT Studies Certificate, is a faculty affiliate with the School of Transborder Studies, and advises students in Barrett, The Honors College.
